Optical Illumination Technique - Adjustable-Angle Lighting

KEYENCE’s VHX Digital Microscope Series is equipped with a Light Shift function that controls the direction of the light, adjusting between full and partial illumination. An adjustable illumination adapter can be attached to the lens to allow for the angle of the light exiting the lens to be changed.

Full illumination
All light fibres at the tip of the lens turn on.
Partial illumination
Only one-fourth of the light fibres at the tip of the lens turn on, enhancing surface details.
